Uncertainty

I have heard it say that nothing is permanent except change.  Life is ever-changing and full of uncertainties. If you happen to be a control freak and want control over everything that is going on in your life, uncertainty can present you with a few problems. Being unable or refusing to embrace change often heightens feelings of anxiety and worry, causing stress, depression and unhappiness.

When circumstances in life leave you hanging and snare you in a state of uncertainty it pays off to stay calm and get creative. Take action. Embrace your power. Don’t give it away to the politicians, the media, or anyone else who depletes you of your own inner strength. Be true and believe in yourself. Have courage to speak up for what you know is right. Take charge. Drive your own destiny. Do not put your life on hold. The hands on the clock will show no mercy. They will march on swiftly while you walk round in circles. When you have no idea how near you are to the edge, when you can’t get a handle on it, create distraction.

I write and draw, and carry out small mundane tasks that have nothing to do with poking a stick at uncertainty. I allow myself to take comfort in knowing I do not need to know all the answers. It is okay to temporarily be without direction. It is okay to say ‘I don’t know’ until I do.  Life has taught me clarity will present itself when it is ready. No amount of angst will spur it on any quicker. Turn of the anxiety switch and turn your mind to something you enjoy. Hijack that state of mind that leaves you frightened and fearful. Fill up your world with love and joy, and beauty. Relax and indulge in simple things that make you forget. Trust that clarity will come in its own good time and steal you away from the grasp of uncertainty once again, until the next time. It may be brief or it may linger but you will get through it easier if you accept uncertainty simply as a part of life. Aox

How did you get so wise? I feel that you are my kindred spirit. You say what I need to hear.

I live with an amazing guru. He is thirteen, needs 24hr care and has never spoke one full sentence in his life. He wises me up to just about everything and only for him I probably would not have got back to my writing and you and I would have both missed out lollll. So pleased I’m making a difference Aox
